Embroidery

The Heritage Museum owns a vast collection of traditional handmade embroidery items created by Monika Nemeth and the members of Hargita Circle, a group who dedicated a great amount of time for preserving and presenting Hungarian folk traditions and art. Almost all traditionally distinctive regions of Hungary are represented through these artfully created embroideries which are now in the care of their makers until the museum finds a new home. The embroidery creations presented here are only a fraction of the full collection owned by the museum.
